How many CE hours do I need to complete?
Your required hours depend on your license type and state. Texas adjusters need 24 CE hours per renewal cycle, including 3 required ethics hours. At least half of your total hours (12 of the 24) must be classroom-equivalent courses. Your license renews every 2 years based on your birth date. When does my CE get reported to the state?
Once you complete a course, we automatically report your CE credits to your state’s Department of Insurance (if applicable) and provide you with a certificate of completion for your records.
Can I start my course right away?

Do your courses meet my state's CE requirements?
Yes. All Mosaic CE courses are accredited by TDI and assigned a state course ID.
What if I don't finish before my renewal deadline?
Missing your renewal deadline in Texas can result in a $50 fine per late hour, up to $500. We recommend completing your CE at least 30 days before your deadline to avoid a lapse. If you’re licensed in another state, check with your state’s Department of Insuranc
How long do I have to complete a course?
You have 12 months of access from your purchase date. Keep in mind your license renewal deadline may come sooner than that, so it’s your responsibility to finish before your specific deadline, not just within the 12-month access window.
Can I retake a course if I don't pass?
It depends on the course type:
- CE courses: retakes are unlimited, so you can try again at no additional cost until you pass.
- Pre-licensing courses: you get one retake of the final exam if you don’t pass the first time. There is an additional fee for a retake exam after two failed attempts.
You also have access to your course for a full year, so you can revisit the material anytime during that window.
What is your refund policy?
You can request a full refund within 5 calendar days of purchase, as long as you haven’t started the course, no certificate has been issued, and your CE credit hasn’t been reported to TDI. This also applies to bundles; all courses in the bundle must be unstarted. A $10 administrative fee applies to approved refunds, unless it’s a duplicate purchase or a verified system error. To request one, email support@mosaicce.net with your name, course title, purchase date, and reason.
Will I receive a certificate after completing my course?
Once you complete a course, we automatically report your CE credits to your state’s Department of Insurance (if applicable) and provide you with a certificate of completion for your records.
Are there any additional state reporting fees?
Yes, but there’s a distinction: state fees are set by your state, not Mosaic CE. They vary by state and are non-refundable once reported (Texas, for example, charges $1.30/hour). We include this fee in your purchase so we can report your completed hours directly to your state on your behalf, one less thing for you to track down yourself. Mosaic CE’s course price already includes everything else, with no hidden fees, and purchases are refundable within 5 days (excluding state fees and free/coupon courses).
